This page explains how StackFairly uses cookies and similar technologies.
What are cookies
Small text files, or similar browser storage, that websites use to work properly and to remember information about your visit.
What we use
- Necessary storage: when you accept or decline analytics, we store your choice in your browser's local storage so we do not ask you again. This is not shared with anyone.
- Analytics (only if you accept): we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are read and when links to vendors are clicked. It sets analytics cookies and receives information such as pages viewed, approximate location, and device and browser type. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, and we turn off ad personalization features.
- Advertising: StackFairly does not currently show ads and does not set advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
- Affiliate links: some links to software vendors are affiliate links. When you click one, the vendor or its affiliate network may set its own cookies on its own site to credit our referral. We do not control those cookies; see the vendor's privacy policy.
Managing your choice
The first time you visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. You can also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
